PPCA welcomes Finance Director Nick Esmore

The Phonographic Performance Company of Australia (PPCA) welcomes Nick Esmore to the newly created role of Finance Director, commencing Monday, 5 May 2025.
Nick joins PPCA following six successful years at Foxtel, most recently as Finance Director for Sports Streaming and Advertising, overseeing high-growth platforms such as Kayo and BINGE. His extensive experience includes senior finance roles in Australia and internationally at companies including J.P. Morgan, Colgate-Palmolive, and the Commonwealth Bank.
At PPCA, Nick will be responsible for the organisations’ finance, PPCA Distribution, business technology, and HR portfolios. The news follows the announcement that Chief Operating Officer Lynne Small will step down this week, after nearly three decades of dedicated service.
Following Lynne’s announcement, Rohini Sivakumar was promoted to General Counsel &Company Secretary while Julia Robinson has also been promoted to Head of Government Relations and Programs.
PPCA CEO, Annabelle Herd, said: “Nick brings exactly the kind of commercial insight, strategic thinking, and collaborative leadership we need as we move forward. He has a strong passion for music and will be a great addition to the team and the industry.
“With Lynne’s extraordinary legacy and incredibly generous support in the handover, we’re in a strong position for this next chapter.”
Nick said: “I’m really excited to join PPCA given the important role they play in supporting Australian music. It’s an incredible opportunity to bring my experience into an industry that’s as dynamic and creative as music, and I’m looking forward to contributing to its continued growth and success.”
